About the Fort

Not all restaurants on Roatan are created equal. Fort Consolation is the perfect place for a meal after a long day of adventures on Roatan. And there are good reasons for this. For one, the Restaurant is located across the marina from the Port of Roatan. Secondly, the view from the Restaurant is unmatched in the area. There are also clear calm waters surrounding the pier at Fort Consolation. And just in front of the Restaurant, the Caribbean sea can be enjoyed directly from our dock.

Fort Consolation offers an array of dining alternatives. Seafood is on the menu, of course. But the Restaurant also offers American cousine options such as Hamburgers, Salads, and chicken fingers for children. The Restaurant serves a great ceviche, conch balls, and mouth-watering freshly caught Snapper. Have a meal at the "Fort," - you'll be glad you did.

The Restaurant is known for its view, its location, generous portions, a wide-ranging menu, and, most of all, its customer service.

Location

The Restaurant is located adjacent to Port of Roatan, on Roatan's southern shore. The Fort (as the locals call it) overlooks the massive new cruise ship terminal and is walking distance from the Port of Roatan Town Center in Coxen Hole. The newly renovated Port is a hot stop for visitors from all over the world, and Fort Consolation enjoys the best location for families to enjoy their Roatan stay.

In days past, the Restaurant offered an over the water zip-line experience from Port of Roatan to the Restaurant. But when Port of Roatan grew and underwent its remodeling, the Restaurant also modified its tour offerings and activities. Today, visitors to Fort Consolation can enjoy trips aboard Roatan Catamaran, mountain to see zip-line tours, trips to Gumbalimba Park, and tours to Tabyana Beach in West Bay.
